Mark Bradeis
About the Inspector – and company.
Why “Master Building Inspections”
The name reflects the standard.
A home inspection should not be limited to identifying visible defects. It should reflect an understanding of how a home is built, how systems are installed, and how those systems perform over time.
Master Building Inspections was built on that principle.
Experience That Extends Beyond the Inspection
Mark Bradeis is a NJ Licensed Home Inspector and an ASHI Certified Inspector.
He was trained under Dave Goldstein, with a strong foundation in the New Jersey Standards of Practice and the legal framework that governs home inspections.
With over 25 years of experience working with homes—and nearly 8 years performing home inspections—each inspection is performed with an understanding of both construction and inspection standards.
This is not a checklist approach. It is an evaluation based on how systems are intended to function and how they fail over time.
Real-World Understanding
In addition to inspection experience, Mark owns and restored a home originally built in 1801 that was fully gutted and rebuilt.
That level of hands-on experience provides a practical understanding of structural systems, framing and load paths, plumbing and electrical installation, and renovation and system integration.
This perspective carries directly into the inspection process.
Inspection Experience
Over 1,250 home inspections have been performed since 2018.
That volume provides exposure to a wide range of construction methods, property types, recurring defects, and high-cost failures.
With experience, patterns become clear—what commonly fails, what is often overlooked, and where risk is typically hidden.
Why This Matters
Many inspectors identify what is visible.
Fewer understand how and why conditions exist.
The difference matters when evaluating improper installation, early system failure, structural concerns, and hidden defects that carry significant cost.
An inspection grounded in both construction knowledge and inspection standards provides a more accurate assessment of the property.
Why Clients Choose MBI Home Inspections
The inspection is performed with a focus on understanding how the home was built, identifying installation defects and system limitations, evaluating components based on expected performance, and clearly explaining findings and their implications.
This approach provides clarity, reduces uncertainty, and allows informed decisions prior to closing.
Standards and Professional Practice
Every inspection is performed personally by Mark Bradeis, NJ Licensed Home Inspector.
Inspections are conducted in accordance with the New Jersey Standards of Practice (N.J.A.C. 13:40-15).
The inspection is non-invasive and limited to readily accessible areas. Concealed defects and code compliance are outside the scope of a standard home inspection.
